Hello and welcome friends!! My name is Rosemary Stribling and I am what you would call a sports "freak". My love for athletics began during high school and continued in college where I played volleyball and basketball for California State University Bakersfield. My passion for sports spurred my fascination in kinesiology which drove me towards the completion of my Bachelors Degree in Physical Education and Kinesiology and my Personal Trainer Certification from the International Sports Science Association. After graduating I began coaching high school and club volleyball and then decided to pursue my Masters Degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Sport Administration at Fresno Pacific University with hopes to become a collegiate athletic director. My interest in athletics has driven me to better understand and pursue some of the different roles that are involved with sports; the athlete, the coach, and the administrator.
I currently am working as a chiropractic assistant for the Spine and Orthopedic Center in Bakersfield, CA, assisting patients with injury and post operative rehabilitation and also working towards receiving my strength and conditioning specialist certification (C.S.C.S) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). I am currently a member of the National Association of Collegiate Women Athletic Administrators (NACWAA), Minority Opportunities Athletic Association (MOAA), National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics (N4A), both divisions of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA), and the American Kinesiology Association (AKA). When I am not studying or working, I like to spend my free time with my 2 year old son Elijah and working out at my local gym.
My dream is to be able to direct an athletic program and watch the student-athletes develop into well-rounded individuals that possess skills to be successful in the classroom, the community, and throughout their life.
